چکیده

We study the dynamics of localized pulses in complex cubic–quintic Ginzburg–Landau (GL) equation with strong nonlinearity management. The generalized GL equation, averaged over rapid modulations nonlinearity, is derived. employ variational approach to this derive a dynamical system for dissipative soliton parameters. By using numerical simulations and full GP we show that nonlinearity-managed solitons exist model. parameter regions stabilization exploding are obtained.

Dissipative dispersion-managed solitons in mode-locked lasers.

We extend the theory of dispersion-managed solitons to dissipative systems with a focus on mode-locked fiber lasers. Dissipative structures exist at high map strengths, leading to the generation of stable, short pulses with high energy. Two types of intramap pulse evolution are observed depending on the net cavity dispersion. These are characterized by a reduced model, and semianalytical soluti...

Dissipative solitons and antisolitons

Using the method of moments for dissipative optical solitons, we show that there are two disjoint sets of fixed points. These correspond to stationary solitons of the complex cubic–quintic Ginzburg–Landau equation with concave and convex phase profiles respectively. Numerical simulations confirm the predictions of the method of moments for the existence of two types of solutions which we call s...

Midband dissipative spatial solitons.

We show dissipative spatial solitons in nonlinear optical microresonators in which the refractive index is laterally modulated. In addition to "normal" and "staggered" dissipative solitons, similar to those in spatially modulated conservative systems, a narrow "midband" soliton is shown, having no counterparts in conservative systems.

MoS2-clad microfibre laser delivering conventional, dispersion-managed and dissipative solitons

Molybdenum disulfide (MoS2), whose monolayer possesses a direct band gap, displays promising applications in optoelectronics, photonics, and lasers. Recent researches have demonstrated that MoS2 has not only a significant broadband saturable absorption performance, but also a higher optical nonlinear response than graphene. However, MoS2 shows much lower optical damage threshold owing to the po...
